Please vote!

I added a poll (top of sidebar) asking if you find it helpful to have each species linked to more information about it. I thought it would be helpful but am finding it takes a bit of time to do so. If no one cares (uses) the links then I may stop making them. So please vote and let me know what you think.

  1. Maybe just links from your year list--then you wouldn't have to do it as often, but it would be available if someone wanted it.

  2. I thought about that and might do it. That does not address the non-birds though as I don't list them in the sidebar. It already seems that the sidebar is getting a bit out of hand though. I have been thinking of doing something about that also.

  3. Who am I to give advise about sidebars--mine are enormous. Maybe one list of 2008 birds (either alphabetical or by order of appearance) and then a list of non-birds? That way you only have to build the link once.

  4. Why don't you just have a general link to: http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAboutBirds/
or better yet, just let them google it! (you do have a google search box, which could be moved toward the top of the page, so that it is easier to find and use.)

As for the Mammals, Insects, etc. you could start a new blog for each {group, not individual} with links on your main blog. Put in google search boxes on each of them, also. Don't forget to expand your interests on your User Profile so that others of similar interests can find you better!

    Brainstorming...

  5. I have read all your comments with interest. I am making some changes with more to come I'm sure.
First, a new blog for lots of lists, year, state, etc.
Second links to those lists in the sidebar, see "My Lists."
Third, search box moved to the top.
What's next? Catching up I guess!
