  1. Mowing seems to be a good time for wildlife viewing!

    Do you manually alphabetize your lists, or is there a tool somewhere that will do that?

  2. Mowing does sometimes scare something up.

    To alphabetize my lists I key them into a spreadsheet in Google Docs and use the sort function. I use a sheet for each location and preface non-birds with "zi" (without the quotes) for insects, "za" for amphibians etc. For instance:

    Ivory-billed Woodpecker
    Great Auk
    ziTiger Swallowtail
    zaBullfrog
    American Crow
    .
    .
    .

    Then after sorting it's just copy and paste into Blogger. Of course I have to delete the "z" bit but that's not usually much.

    I reuse the same spreadsheet each day-just delete the previous days wildlife on each sheet.
